ISSAP wins a second national award!

Just announced: the International Space Station Archaeological Project has won the 2023 New Directions Award from the American Anthropological Association’s General Anthropology Division! This follows an award for outstanding work in digital archaeology from the Archaeological Institute of America in January. We are thrilled to receive this honor.

Co-PI Justin Walsh watches the installation of the first archaeological experiment in space, the Sampling Quadrangle Assemblages Research Experiment, on January 14, 2022.
